Chapter 105 Meeting/Lunch

Where: American Legion Post 36, 5845 E 22nd Street, Tucson

Presentation by Mike Nolan on the OSIRIS missions. OSIRIS-REx was a NASA asteroid-study and sample-return mission that visited and collected samples from 101955 Bennu, a carbonaceous near-Earth asteroid. OSIRIS-APEX, a follow-on to OSIRIS-REx, will study the physical changes to asteroid Apophis after the asteroid’s rare close encounter with Earth in 2029.

The price for all of the above (except the bar) is $22.
